Cass Lake-Bena

will be two of four schools from the

Northern Minnesota Robotics Conference

organization to send their robotics teams to the National AISES Conference taking place Oct. 6-8 in Palm Springs, Calif.

According to a release, the American Indian Science and Engineering Society, or AISES, has partnered with technology company Apple to invite robotics teams to share what they have learned about science, technology, engineering and math through the activity.

“They will also be sharing what it is like to be a robotics student in general, the state of robotics here in Minnesota and all of the soft skills they are honing as they prepare for college and the workforce,” the release said.

The Red Lake Ogichidaag, team No. 7235 alongside coach Sandy Ketterling, will represent Red Lake. Team No. 3134, or the Accelerators, and team No. 3275, the Regulators, alongside coach Jesse Frost will represent Cass Lake-Bena.
